Venice Street Training

Are there things about the design of a public space, street, square or alley that encourage certain behaviours? How do the built infrastructure and the social infrastructure relate?

Ten years of research into people’s approaches to safety and joy in city streets is now applied in Venice, Italy in collaboration with muf architecture\art as part of the Venice Architecture Biennale.

late Evening Sunshine at Spitalfields City Farm

Part of the Street Training course on Wednesdays this Summer, all are invited and welcome to enjoy the long balmy evenings by the fire in Spitalfields. A series of conversations on aspects of the city will take place 6pm-8pm at Spitalfields City Farm. The topics are:
7th July Community and the city
21st July Growing and the city (growing plants, people, food, culture)
4th August Play and the city
18th August Economies and the city
8th September Art/Activism in the city
15th September Animals and the city
