Rio Street Training

One night here in Rio at a private view for a gallery called Gentil Carioca spontaneously I orchestrated my friends to lift up my friend Lila and we carried her off but she wasn't shouting!!! We walked along together a little girl hanging out of the doorway smiled at us, we proceeded to climb scaffolding play and swing off it.

Santa Teresa Training, how to ride the 'bonde' tram

You hold on to the tram and run while it gets going then jump on. As it goes you can jump on and off do twists and One boy made his body horizontal as he held on to the outside of the tram.

I got together with the boys who train capoeira at Atelier favela at largo das letras in Sanata Teresa, Rio. We did an informal session when they told me about their neighborhood in terms of safety and joy. They said there is no risk to them in this place, they have nothing to steal and they know everyone. What they do for joy is ride the tram in wild and wonderful ways which they they then demonstrated.
