in the favela or community 'Morro Dos Prazeres' in rio as in many other morros there are lots of steps and hills to walk up. Eliza Brandao the head of the community association there walks up here every day. She says though that she treats it as a work out as its the best way to deal with the hike, the temperature recently has been around 30 so you certainly sweat when you're doing this walk. Meanwhile in other parts of town women are paying to do 'step classes' in air conditioned gyms.

People Who live here walk up long stair cases every day, Eliza says she can't stand doing it but she also says she uses it as a chance to work out. When I walked up the hill with lots of gilrs- friends and family of Eliza one evening after small party and feijoada at her house we stopped to rest intermittently along the way.

rosie's dad used to be a tube driver - he used to sing to the people on the tube. Will says you can get stick on colds sores for sticking onto model's faces on adverts in the tube. Lottie tried to reverse pick pocket a girl on the tube on the way but in the end had to give her the note.

on the 22nd November members of Tate Forum will guide shapers of public space and members of the public on a circuit in the vicinity of Tate Britain. We will be demonstrating techniques for being joyful in public spaces. Don't just walk down the street with your walking-down-the-street face on, try such things as joining human lines to link objects in the landscape or seeing how many people can fit on a paving stone.

A Passer-by does the Mobile Limbo

In our second Street Training Session with children from Gloucester Primary School, we looked at the blog posts here that recorded their first ideas for having fun in the streets. In the last session they practiced techniques in the playground but out in the streets they developed them and invented loads of new moves for the Peckham Street Training tour based on the things that they found on the way.
in this photo a passing cyclist has been enticed into doing limbo with us, i made her smile.
